The raison d'etre for this webspace, Canadianpottery.com and Canadianpottery.ca are manifold. We have watched the fine red Clay potteries over the last few years as the trend and desire for them has grown. We now find that there is a real investment market for Canada's best potteries due to the popularity of such sites as eBay. As lovers of Canadian pottery from a cultural and aesthetic point of view, we now feel that a site which, rather than lists alphabetically the potteries in Canada as if they were all equal, would provide a thriving space for the collectible market. Articles written by avid collectors, scholarly articles on the historical aspect of Canada's potteries, and up to date information on current trends is also one of our aims. We hope that you will feel free to send us information on your own interests and collectibles so that we can grow as our investments continue to attract to local and global attention that they deserve.
