Deichmann Deichmann pottery existed from 1935 to 1963 and was the handiwork of Kjeld and Erica Deichmann who worked in Moss Glen, New Brunswick. All of their pieces were handthrown and one of a kind. Their work consists of everything from utilitarian ware to highly stylized vases and mini animal figurines called the 'goofus.' Large pieces of Deichmann are hard to find and fetch the dearest prices among collectors. As all the pieces are handthrown and unique, prices for Deichmann are not low, usually ranging from 100.00US dollars and up. Goofus animals usually sell for well over 300.00US. Each piece is clearly marked with a stylized D, even on the tiniest candle snuffer. |
